1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Red Flag Advisory Group, referred to as Red Flag Advisory Group, handles personal information collected through this website and its preparation tools. It applies when you browse the site, create an account, submit an enquiry, register interest, use a guide or request consideration of a broker introduction.
Red Flag Advisory Group is an Australian business-sale preparation platform. The product is designed to support private preparation work; it is not a data room, a document-upload service or a broker directory that automatically shares owner information.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to provide. This can include your name, email address, account sign-in identifier, business label, industry, state, sale timing, enquiry message, early-access details and marketing choice.
If you use an account-saved guide or premium workspace, we may store the preparation entries, concise notes, checklist status, action-plan records, evidence descriptions, adviser questions and review-cycle records that you enter. The current platform is deliberately designed not to accept or store source documents, document contents, names of counterparties, phone numbers or email addresses in its controlled-disclosure tools.
The free Sale Readiness Check produces a preliminary result in your browser. Its answers and result are not uploaded as part of the free browser-based check. If you later choose an account feature, only information you actively enter into that feature is saved to the account.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to operate accounts, save owner-private preparation work, respond to support requests, maintain security and audit records, administer consent choices and improve the product. If you opt in to marketing, we may use your email to send the update you requested. You can withdraw marketing consent by contacting us at chris@redflagadvisorygroup.com.au.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your preparation records to make a valuation, sale recommendation, credit decision, buyer-screening decision or automated decision about you.
4. Optional broker introductions
A request for a broker introduction is optional. It creates an owner-requested record for internal review; it does not automatically send an email or transfer your information to a broker. Before any selected information is shared, the product is intended to show the broker, the limited information proposed for sharing, the applicable consent choice and any relevant referral arrangement disclosure.
If you do not request an introduction, your account-saved preparation records are not shared with a broker, buyer or adviser through the platform.
5. Service providers, security and retention
We use hosted technology services for authentication, database infrastructure, website hosting, public asset delivery and operational support. Those services may process information only to provide the platform and related support. Information may be processed outside the state or territory where you live where a service provider’s infrastructure requires it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the account or service, resolve issues, meet record-keeping obligations and enforce rights. You may ask us to delete or correct eligible information, subject to obligations we must retain.
6. Cookies, analytics and your choices
Account sign-in requires session technologies so that the platform can recognise an authenticated user. The site may also use aggregate website analytics to understand visits and product performance. You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies can prevent account functions from working.
You may request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw marketing consent or make a privacy complaint by using the Contact page. We will first try to resolve a concern directly. You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product, data practices or applicable requirements change. The version and date above identify the current published policy. Material changes will be posted here before they apply to new collection or use where practicable.
